How SKYLINK IT SOLUTION PTY. LTD. collects, uses, stores and discloses personal information, and how to reach us about it.

Applies to this website and our enquiry handling Last updated 27 August 2026

SKYLINK IT SOLUTION PTY. LTD. (ABN 88 659 716 471) is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we do with personal information collected through this website.

What we collect

Through the enquiry form on this site we collect the information you choose to give us:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your work email address (required)
  • Your phone number, if you provide one
  • Your organisation and industry
  • What you are seeking help with, and your timeline
  • The message you write

We also record technical information automatically: your IP address, the page the enquiry was submitted from, and the time of submission. The IP address is used to limit automated abuse of the form.

Our content delivery network records standard web server logs — IP address, request time, the resource requested, response status and user agent — for security and operational purposes.

What we do not collect

  • We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website
  • We do not run third-party analytics on this website
  • We do not collect sensitive information as defined by the Privacy Act
  • We do not buy personal information from data brokers or list vendors

The only third-party resource this site loads is a web font from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers from your browser.

Why we collect it

We collect this information for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, if it leads to an engagement, to carry out that engagement. We do not use enquiry details for unrelated marketing.

If you subscribe to our email dispatch, we use your address only to send that dispatch. Every edition carries an unsubscribe link.

Where it is stored

Enquiries are stored in Amazon Web Services in the Asia Pacific (Sydney) region, encrypted at rest, and are also delivered to our team by email. Access is limited to SKYLINK personnel who need it to respond to you.

Stored enquiries are automatically deleted after the retention period set on our systems. Email records may persist in our mail system for longer, in line with our business records practice.

Who we disclose it to

We do not sell personal information, and we do not disclose it for anyone else's marketing. We disclose personal information only:

  • To our service providers, to the extent they need it to provide the service — principally Amazon Web Services, which hosts this site and processes enquiry submissions
  • Where you have asked us to, for example when you ask us to involve your AWS account team
  • Where we are required or authorised by law to do so

Overseas disclosure

Our hosting and enquiry processing run in Australia. Some supporting services operated by our providers may be accessible from, or supported from, outside Australia. Where that is the case we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient handles the information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How we protect it

  • All traffic to this site is served over HTTPS
  • Stored enquiry data is encrypted at rest
  • Access to production systems requires multi-factor authentication
  • Access is granted on a least-privilege basis and reviewed periodically
  • Our systems are logged and monitored for unauthorised access

No system is perfectly secure. If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Accessing and correcting your information

You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to the address below. We will respond within a reasonable period, and in most cases within 30 days. There is no charge for making a request; if a request requires substantial work we will tell you about any charge before proceeding.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us first using the details below and we will investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices or obligations change. The current version is always at this address, with the date it was last updated shown at the top of the page.

Questions about how we handle your data?

Ask before you send us anything. We would rather answer the question than have you hold back the detail that makes your enquiry useful.
